SHOP INFO and FAQ:

ORDERS AND SHIPPING

Shipping and Handling
is $5 within the US and $10 outside of the US whatever the size of your order is. I ship USPS Ground or Priority Mail. If you prefer UPS or Fedex, please let me know by email or in the "Notes to Seller" section at checkout. I will get in touch with shipping rates.

Invoices are emailed. I won't include a paper copy with your shipment.

I make all of the jewelry myself and items are made to order. I'll ship your order as quickly as possible after you place it, generally within 2-3 days. If you need it to arrive more quickly, please let me know by email or in the "Notes to Seller" section at checkout.

Due to their handmade nature, items will vary slightly in size and color.
Each piece is unique as stones and colors vary. Wire wrapping varies a little too as I am not a robot. The listed weights and dimensions are approximate.

I use semiprecious gemstones and freshwater pearls. Sometimes they are natural colors and sometimes they are dyed, but they will not fade or lose their color.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Did you lose an earring?
I can replace a missing earring at half the price of the pair, assuming that I have more of those beads. If you lose one, I will suggest that you mail me the earring you have, since every pair is slightly different. Then I can make you a new one to match it exactly.

Did something break?
I wish that never happened but it does every once in a while. Findings can be faulty or I may have made an error in production. Please get in touch and I will be happy to fix it. Email me. You can mail the item to me at the address on my contact page, or if you are in the Seattle area you can arrange to meet me at a show or marketing event.

Did you buy something and change your mind?
Unless it was a custom order, and if it is within a reasonable time period from your purchase I will be happy to refund or exchange.

Did you receive a gift that's not your style?
It won't hurt my feelings. :) Please feel free to ask for a refund or exchange.

SUBSTITUTIONS AND CUSTOM PROJECTS

Necklace lengths are customizable.
Please let me know by email or in the "Notes to Seller" section at checkout if you would like a different length than what is listed in the drop-down menu. It’s easy to change!

I can replace the style of necklace clasp.
Necklaces usually come with tiny spring ring clasps because I like how lightweight and visually unobtrusive they are. If you prefer a larger clasp that is easier to use, please specify that with your order in the "Notes to Seller" section or send me an email inquiry. I can email you some photos of other options I have and price differences as it might cost slightly more.

I can also replace the style of earwire.
I use french hook ear wires shown in the photos and I'll send rubber ear backings with your purchase. If you prefer leverbacks, posts, clip-on backings for un-pierced ears, or anything else specify that with your order in the "Notes to Seller" section or send me an email inquiry. I can email you some photos of options and let you know of any slight price differences.

Did you see something at a show or in a shop that isn’t on my website?
I make one of a kind pieces sometimes, or I stop making things. There are some things I bring to shows but haven’t photographed and published on the site yet. If you can find something similar on the website, describe it to me, or draw a picture I might be able to make it again for you.

I do custom orders.
Do you want a particular shape, or something made smaller/larger? Do you want something in a different color or metal than what is offered as an option in the shop? You can contact me with an idea you have for a special one-of-a-kind piece, a bracelet, or a necklace to match a pair of earrings.

ABOUT THE METALS AND FINDINGS USED

Sterling Silver is an alloy
It’s 92.5% silver and the other 7.5% is usually copper or zinc. Nickel, the metal people are most often allergic to, is not used in sterling silver. Some people are however allergic to sterling silver.

All of the silver I use is Sterling Silver.
The silver will tarnish over time due to oxidation but you can polish it or clean it and it will brighten up again.

Stainless Steel earwires are an option for substitution but stainless steel does have nickel in it. For most people, sterling silver is a safer option.

Oxidized Sterling is sterling silver that has been intentionally tarnished to darken the surface for an edgy, antique look. I use a surface treatment over the dark patina to make the color last longer but the color of the silver might lighten up a bit over time.

I use Niobium earwires on all oxidized sterling earrings.

Niobium is often used as a hypoallergenic metal because it is an element (not an alloy) and it has no nickel or any other metals in it. Unless you are allergic to niobium, it's usually a safe option for metal sensitivities.

Gold-filled is not solid gold, but it has a thicker layer of gold than gold-plated options do. The color of gold-filled metals is richer and although not permanent, the color lasts years longer than gold-plate. It makes a good gold option for price and value.

All of the gold I use is gold-filled.

I don't recommend gold-filled earwires for people with extreme metal sensitivities since the metal used underneath is often brass.

If you want to substitute Solid Gold earwires for any of the the gold-filled earrings, please allow extra time for me to order supplies.

If you want something made in copper, gold, brass, gunmetal, or some other metal/color that isn't listed on the site, I can probably do that but it could take a little longer to order supplies and make it. Email me and ask if you are interested.
